Background: Born and raised in Paris, France, he was orphaned shortly after his birth because his mother was a gypsy. It seems this fate befell him as well as he was taken in by a traveling group of gypsies. With them he learned how to perform, how to please a crowd,and how to steal money. Ael was quick on his feet and he was a
brilliant actor of the sorts and often times he was a crowd favourite. Sometimes, however, he was conned into playing the woman for his effeminate features, but he didn't mind.
It wasn't until the Feast of Fools when La Esmerelda stood up for the hunchback that things started to go wrong. The man, Frollo, killed him when he went insane with finding this one woman. Ael wouldn't give him the information he wanted, and thus was sentenced to immediate death for his treason.
He woke up later, numb, near the walls of the Organization's headquarters. He was picked up by Xigbar, who then explained to him what happened and was brought into the fold. Ael didn't like it much, in fact he was a bit of an outsider considering he couldn't stand the stuck-up scientists that he was surrounded by. Xemnas later told him
that his new name was Axel, which he later adopted to be his real name considering he was slowly forgetting the memories of his past.
Like his somebody, Axel was a trickster and a wonderful actor, however unlike Ael, he was a man of fierce insults and a temper that would probably get him killed. He became the middle ground between the Elders, and Saix, and the Neophytes, and he wasn't too keen on keeping peace between them. His favourite companions by far were Demyx,
Larxene, and the newbie Roxas. He never questioned exactly why they were searching for their hearts, as far as Axel was concerned, he liked being a nobody. He felt invincible.
It wasn't until his closest friend, Roxas, decided to leave that he started to question Xemnas' sanity.
Because of this he, Marluxia, Namine, and Larxene were stationed at Castle Oblivion to conduct their own research. Axel, who hates Marluxia, started leaking out small bits of information to Xemnas about how he was plotting against them, and soon Vexen, Lexaeus, and Zexion joined them.
During this time, Marluxia was put into a position of power, much to Axel and the elders dislike, and they lured Sora into the castle. They fucked with is memories, made him forget his loved one, and it was getting to the point where they would have succeeded when something went wrong. Axel killed Vexen for trying to tell Sora about Roxas, and then he proceeded to kill Zexion, Larxene, and nearly got his hands on Marluxia, but Sora took him out. He became a double agent, and then turned his back on the Organization. He found it quite easy to manipulate every single member despite suspicions.
He was called a traitor to the Organization, and thus he decided to take up the mission Xemnas had in store. This mean either getting Roxas on his side, or killing him.
He failed his mission, as Roxas was a bit more powerful then he had expected, and quickly disappeared.
Axel resurfaced later when he found Sora, and decided to play middle ground as much as he hated it. He was bad guy at some parts, while good guy at others right up until he sacrificed himself so that Sora could live and saved the person he cared about.
When Axel died his body was transferred through the Life Stream to Spira, where he obtained his heart (or at least, a heart). Able to feel again, he decided to start a bit of a new life. He learned about each faction, tried them out a bit, and decided they weren't for him.
Over the next year, or so, Axel started recruiting for a faction of his own. He sent secret messages to certain people who he knew would be interested (even in this new world Axel had his connections) and started a group of pirates. It took them a while, but they hijacked a small, well known air ship for it's speed and soundless movement. Axel can't quite remember the original name, but he's already repainted the sides and set up the ship so it'll run better then before. He's remodeled it in some aspects, even putting in a prison hold (which
he's dreadfully amused by), and he calls it "Oblivions Fury" as a sort of reminiscent memory to his fallen…comrades back at Castle Oblivion.
Place of Residence: He doesn't really have one set place of residence, however, he has a small camp set up near the Moonflow. Also he has someone in Bevelle who helps supply him with what he needs to keep him and his crew up and running.
